Having hot water in your Canonsburg area home precisely when you want it these days is no longer considered a luxury.

A steady supply of hot water always adds an extra level of comfort to your Pennsylvania home, but we see it as one of our daily necessities. And if something disrupts this necessity, as in losing the hot water or running out, everything comes to a stand still in our daily routine.

If you have a faulty water heater, give us a call so we can determine the issue and address it right away. At Valley Heating & Air Conditioning, we offer several options to keep the hot water flowing in your home. We are happy to install, replace, repair, and maintain your water heater for you.

Water Heater Repair Warning Signs

Newer water heaters tend to take up less space, use less energy, and are more efficient. Still, nobody wants to replace a Canonsburg household appliance unless necessary.

You can count on our water heater repair specialists to explain what you should know about your system and whether or not your issue is easily fixable.

Here are three clear signs it could be time for a repair:

  1. Your heater is making unusual noises. As sediment heats and reheats, it can harden, creating a rattling sound in your heater.
  2. You have rusty water. This could either be an indication of rusting pipes or rust forming inside your tank. Either way, an inspection is merited.
  3. There is water around your heater, indicating a possible leak. Our Valley Heating & Air Conditioning team can fix this in no time.

Most water heaters have a service life of about eight to 12 years. When your water heater hits the 10-year mark, you may want to consider swapping it out for a newer model.

Traditional Water Heaters

If you prefer the tradition of a tank water heater system, we have a wide selection. Standard water heaters are much more energy efficient than they used to be, and tankless water heaters are not ideal for every Pennsylvania home. These traditional water heaters do have lower installation costs than tankless heaters, so this may suit your immediate budget.

Our Valley Heating & Air Conditioning plumbing professionals are ready to install your new water heater tank using your current plumbing and energy arrangement, saving you both money and time. If you prefer using these tanks, we can typically install your new tank without any energy-supply alterations. We will simply connect it to your current setup.

Tankless Water Heaters

More and more Canonsburg homeowners are installing tankless water heaters. If you aren’t well versed on these on-demand hot water sources, you may be missing out.

A tankless or on-demand water heater produces heated water instantly to give you hot water precisely when you want it. There’s no waiting for it to heat up, as can sometimes happen with a traditional water heater.

The traditional tank heats and stores the water in its tank, repeatedly tapping into its energy source to reheat the supply. With no need to store water, tankless water heaters are very compact and can be installed in an area with limited space.

With a tankless heater, the water passes over a heating element, heated by natural gas or propane, and the element heats the water as it’s traveling to you. Gone are the days of using all your hot water while in the shower.

Tankless heaters also are highly energy efficient. They only use the energy they need at the time they need it, conserving your energy and keeping your bill low. Tankless additionally offers installation options with both indoor and outdoor models. These water heaters have something for everyone.

Water Heater Maintenance

Regular preventative maintenance on your water heater is a necessity, like any other heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system in your Pennsylvania home. Mineral deposits can build up in the tank or pipes, causing unexpected and costly repairs as well as a shorter life for your system.

When it comes to maintaining your water heater, our professionals can inspect the piping and the valves, drain the tank and wash out sediment, adjust the temperature, and check the anode rod.

“Our 75 gallon water heater was nearing the end of its life span. It was still working, but we began the process of looking for a new one. We were not in a major hurry, but it was something we needed to get done. I called Rhonda at Valley at 8:12 am to inquire as to a new one. At 8:40 am, two technicians were at the house to see what our requirements were, space available, etc. I was given a quote. I agreed, and at 10:35 am the technicians were back with a new water heater, and began the installation process. At 12:30 pm, they were finished and gone! We are not used to people working so fast! John and Jacob were great to work with, and as far as we can tell (with limited knowledge of water heater installation procedures), they did an outstanding job. Will use this company every time! Thanks to Rhonda, John, and Jacob!”
